About the spreaker

Dr. Belinda Welsh completed her undergraduate medical degree at Monash University in 1990. She then went on to complete a Research-based Masters Degree at the University of Sydney. Dr. Welsh moved back to Melbourne in 1996 to complete specialist dermatology training. She won the prestigious Australasian College of Dermatologists Travelling Fellowship for finishing top in her year . She started her private practice, Complete Skin Specialists, in 2002. This has grown to encompass both a General Medical and Surgical Dermatology clinic and a Laser and Cosmetic clinic with 7 dermatologists. She has also worked extensively in the public hospital system including appointments at The Alfred Hospital , St Vincent’s Hospital , and the Mercy Hospital for Women. She currently attends The Royal Children’s Hospital Laser clinic and The Skin Health Institute Laser clinic.

Dr. Welsh is the current Senior Vice President of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists and an Associate editor of the Australasian Journal of Dermatology. She has also been a Board Member of the Skin Health Institute , Chair of the Victorian Faculty of Dermatologists, Examiner and on the Selection Committee for the Australasian College of Dermatologist and She has written numerous articles and spoken widely.
