Treatment of Inflammatory Acne and Rosacea with the Nordlys® IPL
Laura Biggio, MD - Laser Clinic Milano, Italy
IPL has been used widely to treat many cutaneous conditions, including benign pigmented lesions, inflammatory acne, hair removal, and a variety of vascular lesions such as port-wine stains, telangiectasias, poikiloderma of Civatte, and rosacea.
The versatile Nordlys® platform, with its advanced narrowband state-of-the-art IPL, can address various dermatological concerns including rosacea and acne vulgaris.
The Nordlys multi-application system features 1550 nm and 1940 nm non-ablative fractional lasers, a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, and advanced Selective Waveband Technology (SWT®) IPL applicators. SWT is a unique narrowband state-of-the-art IPL with an advanced dual-filter technology engineered to cut off potentially harmful wavelengths on both sides of the spectrum. This allows higher absorption in the target chromophore and employing lower energies. Along with an exceptional ability to deliver real sub-millisecond pulses, it redefines IPL treatments for a wide range of aesthetic conditions and various skin types.
