Nonsurgical body contouring with focused ultrasound

Study Details:

  • 70 consecutive patients with BMI <30 treated with UltraShape with large transducer (17 had 1 procedure, 23 had 2 treatments, 30 had three treatments)
  • Treatment areas: 37 abdomen, 33 bilateral flanks, 16 bilateral lateral thighs, 2 unilateral flank & 3 unilateral lateral thigh
  • Clinical photography and weight and circumferential measurements

Study Results:

  • Average circumference reduction of 2.5 cm per treatment area
  • Average weight loss was 2.31 lbs.
  • No contour abnormalities and no systemic problems
  • Several patients had local burning sensation during treatment
