Social causes around the world
At Candela, we are proud to use our technology to change lives. We partner with organizations who share that value. This year was no different.
Restoring Heroes Program
When veterans return home from wars with traumatic scars or amputations, the Restoring Heroes organization ensures they get the most advanced care available. Recently, we worked with Restoring Heroes, including CEO Carol Novak and Dr. Jill Waibel of the organization’s medical team, to help improve the quality of life and heal the wounds of injured veterans. The Adecco Foundation
In September, our team collaborated with the Adecco Foundation of Spain. The Adecco Foundation supports people with an inclusive program which offers training and guidance on finding employment, transforming the way society recognizes the value of people, including working with companies to create inclusive work environments.
Candela partnered with Adecco and offered a three-day program to women who have or were in vulnerable situations so they could be better prepared for job interviews and employment opportunities in the beauty and aesthetics field. The program provided the women with insights on how to make their CV’s stronger, how to engage potential customers through telephone-based and face-to-face interactions, and in-depth training on the Gentle™ hair removal platform so they could apply for positions within clinics.
The women received training certificates and were able to add this valuable experience to their CV’s. The program was a great success, and the group was grateful for having the opportunity to improve their employability and aim for a better future for themselves and their families. This program will be a reoccurring initiative throughout 2020 and beyond.
Vietnam Vascular Anomalies Center
The Vietnam Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC) is an organization which provides care for children. Their promotion and collaboration in education and research between Vietnamese and U.S. physicians, along with other healthcare providers, has supported the diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies, pigmented birthmarks, scars and wounds for thousands of children. Candela has been a proud supporter of the VAC for over 10 years, and on December 14th, Candela participated in a benefit event where 100% of the proceeds went to the VAC and the work they do with children.
