Proven results. Fast treatment times.
Gentle, but powerful, our Gentle Pro lasers have over 20 years of proven results on hair removal and on a myriad of laser treatments on other skin conditions such as wrinkles, spider veins, age spots, freckles, and sun spots, on all skin types.
Gentle Pro devices deliver short pulses of light energy into the skin, using state-of-the-art technology. The Gentle Pro systems are FDA, CE, and TGA cleared. The series include the GentleYag Pro®, GentleLase Pro®, GentleMax Pro®, and GentleMax Pro Plus®.
Gentle Pro lasers work by selectively targeting the hair follicle with intense pulses of light energy for thermal destruction, but without damaging the surrounding tissue. The epidermis is protected by the Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™), which sprays the treatment area before each laser pulse with a liquid cryogen coolant. This system provides a cooling protection factor over 50% greater than contact or air cooling4,5, and can be adjusted to individual needs to make the procedure as comfortable as possible!
The light energy is absorbed disproportionately by the concentration of pigment which forms the unwanted lesion. This selective delivery of laser energy destroys the excess pigment and fades the lesion, but remarkably leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected.
The Gentle Pro short pulses of light energy target and destroy problematic blood vessels, thereby eliminating the unwanted surface vein or vascular lesion. Before and after each laser pulse, the Gentle Pro device delivers a liquid coolant onto the skin, protecting the surrounding tissue. This cooling system can be adjusted to your individual needs.
The laser pulses are typically delivered very quickly over the affected area, gradually heating the skin until the therapeutic temperature is reached. Ultimately, the light pulsed laser energy stimulates the production of collagen, improving the appearance of wrinkles from the inside out.

Fast, efficient, and convenient treatments keep sessions as short as possible.
The duration of each session varies from person to person, but on average they last about 20 minutes.
Because hair grows in stages, multiple treatments are required. The number and timing of these treatments will be determined by your provider.
Laser hair removal treatments are commonly described as similar to having an elastic band snapped against the skin during treatment. A topical anesthetic can be used before treatment if desired.
After the treatment, a cool compress or gel pack may be applied. If you do have any redness or swelling after treatment, this should resolve in a couple of hours. Permanent side effects are rare but should be discussed with your provider.
You will be able to resume normal activities after each session, but you may be given specific advice, such as avoiding sun or abrasive skin cleansers on treated skin for a few days.
You should always follow specific instructions from your healthcare provider.
The number of treatment sessions required varies from patient to patient, but typically two to four sessions are needed.
Each session usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, but again will vary depending on your individual needs.
Some people feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse, describing the sensation as similar to having an elastic band snapped against the skin. Ask your provider what you should expect.

Treatments take place in your practitioner’s office. Your practitioner will use a small handpiece to deliver an intense burst of energy onto targeted areas of the skin.
Yes! Many laser hair removal treatments don’t cater to all skin types, but there’s a Gentle Hair Removal treatment that’s right for you, no matter your skin tone. Check with your local provider about which Gentle treatment is right for you.
A treatment can take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the treatment area and the condition being treated. Both legs can often be treated in as few as 15 minutes, as can an average-sized man’s back.
Some patients may feel slight discomfort, which has been compared to snapping a rubber band against the skin. This discomfort resolves quickly and is minimized by our patented Dynamic Cooling Device. Be sure and talk this over with your practitioner.
Multiple treatments are required to achieve the full hair removal effect. The hairs on your body are not always at the same stage, so you’ll need to undergo a few treatments, an average of six to eight weeks apart, to catch them all in the growth stage.
For about six weeks prior to treatment, you should avoid plucking, electrolysis or waxing. On the day of your treatment, skin should be clean-shaven and thoroughly cleansed of any makeup, creams, oils, topical anesthetics or self-tanning products. Apply sunblock (SPF 30 or above) before your treatment. Do not expose the treatment area to sunlight or tanning booth light prior to or immediately after treatment. If you have a history of herpes simplex virus, a prophylactic antiviral therapy may be prescribed.
A cool compress or gel pack may be applied for additional comfort after your treatment. Any redness or swelling should resolve in a few hours.
After your treatment, your skin will be much more prone to sun damage, so be sure to use sunblock with SPF 30 or greater. In the first few days after treatment, don’t scrub or rinse the treated areas with abrasive skin cleansers. Your practitioner may advise additional precautions.
While side effects – such as redness, swelling, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, blistering, or purpura (a bruise-like condition) in the treated area – can occur, it is rare for them to be permanent, and will usually go away in a few days. Your provider will have more information about potential side effects.
Most insurance companies do not offer reimbursement for cosmetic procedures. Consult your insurance carrier for conclusive information.
