Employee Spotlight: Santiago Lorente
Twenty Years Supporting Customers in Spain & Portugal
Santiago Lorente is celebrating his 21st year working for Syneron-Candela as a service manager for Spain and Portugal.
In his role, he oversees a team of more than 20 people and is responsible for supporting Syneron-Candela customers and ensuring that their devices receive the highest levels of service and support. Santiago also interfaces with the Spanish health authorities as a technical manager, ensuring that Syneron-Candela devices meet standards regulated by the government.
Things have changed tremendously for Santiago. When he first joined the organization in 1997, there were just a handful of Candela employees who serviced about 25 units in the region. Today, the region has 60 employees and services over 3,000 systems.
Santiago credits the trust that customers place in Syneron-Candela and the growing consumer demand for energy-based devices as the key reasons that have fueled exponential growth. While the size of Syneron-Candela’s business does not allow him to interface directly with as many customers today as he used to, his team follows a customer first philosophy. Santiago still considers customer relations the best part of his role and counts many Syneron-Candela customers as friends.
Today, Santiago’s new role allows him to have an even greater impact on ensuring Syneron-Candela delivers on its customer-first philosophy – he is helping implement and refine an enterprise resource planning system that will help Syneron-Candela improve efficiencies that will further enhance the customer experience.
