The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in the implementation of company-wide strategic imperatives, including initiatives geared towards inventory management, quality improvement, and supply chain risk reduction.
- This role will be responsible for helping the company address important challenges impacting our business through deep data mining, statistical analysis, and identification of trends that will demonstrate ROI for Candela.
- In addition, the Sr. Analyst will play a key role in the implementation of company-wide strategic imperatives, including initiatives geared towards inventory management, quality improvement, and supply chain risk reduction.
- The business or strategic focus served will vary greatly, ranging from broad coordination efforts across multiple regions and/or functional areas to focused special assignments for senior management that are of high strategic importance to the organization.
- As a member of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing team, the Sr. Analyst will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the organization, using data to solve important business problems and translating company goals into tactical operations.
- The Sr. Analyst someone who can apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to complicated and often ambiguous business problems, navigate raw data to find the real performance drivers and explain complex problems in an understandable way.
- The Sr. Analyst must be able to think both strategically and tactically, devise and execute a plan that breaks problems down into manageable action items and identify actionable insights through deep analysis and review of operations, trends, process, and strategy.
- The insights delivered will identify correlation/causation that will enable leadership to drive growth and efficiency improvements throughout the business in efforts to deliver improved operational, financial, strategic, and customer success outcomes.
- The successful candidate will combine deep data analytics with strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making, and will effectively work cross-functionally across finance, sales, marketing, operations, and product. The Sr. Analyst will work as a part of the supply chain team on team-focused initiatives and will also work directly with leadership in other functions, regions and countries on projects and initiatives.
- The Senior Analyst will report to the Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing, and will be based at Candela's offices in Wayland, Massachusetts.
- Participate in the design, planning, prioritization and execution of a broad range of analytics designed to support data-driven decision-making for the global service organization
- Drive company-wide operational performance tracking using KPI dashboards and reporting to monitor service performance and to continually analyze business drivers
- Coordinate with various functional areas to translate business requirements into actionable, systems-oriented solutions
- Proactively monitor service level performance and execution and recommend solutions and course correction tactics.
- Create insightful reports and presentations that clearly and succinctly highlight performance and actionable insights
- Participate on cross-functional and cross-regional project teams designed to analyze opportunities, synthesize findings, develop action plans, gain consensus and translate recommendations into results
- Support the development of a strategic data and systems approach to support Service business processes
- Participate in the development and implementation of reporting quality standards and processes to ensure reporting integrity
- Continuously question data, asking deep dive questions and pursuing answers that may not be readily apparent
- Build and maintain business knowledge and provide solid foundational context for critical strategic projects
- Collaboratively work across functions and levels in the organization
Background required for this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of analytical experience; life sciences industry experience preferred.
- Experience using and developing within Power BI.
- Experience using Salesforce.com, Service Max or another CRM platform.
- Understanding of a profit and loss statement, general corporate finance, and how operational metrics translate into financial performance
- Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience developing and maintaining reporting tools and databases
- Must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast paced, dynamic team environment

- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with peers and senior leadership
- Must be creative and detail-oriented in ambiguous situations with a focus on execution
